Neither natural or synthetic is best used alone, but when blended together the best qualities of both come out. When someone says, “100% latex foam” it means there’s no filler, but both synthetic and natural can be used. 100% natural latex rubber (harvested from rubber tree plants) 100% synthetic latex rubber (a man-made molecular copy of natural latex rubber). We make our foam through the Dunlop process which results in foam that is springy, but not “bouncy”; similar to a latex foam that is made through the Talalay process, which will results in a more resilient longer lasting material and breath-ability. Latex Foam is heat neutral. It will not absorb body heat or change firmness depending on the temperature. Latex foam is an open-celled foam and contains tiny air chambers that run throughout the foam. These air chambers allow the air to flow freely though the topper. While a latex foam topper can not always make a bed cooler, a 2″-3″ topper can serve as a great buffer between your body and a hot memory foam (or polyurethane foam) mattress. |
