Polyethylene, also known as Extruded Polyethylene, has outstanding dimensional stability and recovery characteristics that provide optimal cushioning protection against repeated impacts. It is ideal for packaging and it is used in many applications including but not limited to: computers, automotive, construction and recreation. Polyethylene feels like a kids pool noodle and is also ideally suited as a component material in products requiring a shock absorbing, vibration dampening, insulation barrier and/or buoyancy component. As the properties listed on the reverse suggest the key features of Polyethylene foam includes: Excellent strength, resistance to creep under load, vibration and shock absorbency and water resistance characteristics. The pink Polyethylene is anti-static. *Cost effective cushion agent for packaging applications Specific Uses: Packaging, surface protection, cold chain, automotive, sports & leisure, void fill, medical, construction, military, blocking & bracing, floor under-layment, recreational, agriculture, archery targets. Special Note: Our laminated foam planks pass the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Compliance. PE foam will melt at 230 degrees F. Properties degrade at 160 degrees F. With this high of a temperature it will start to smell as that is a fairly subjective measure, but certainly once the foam starts to melt you would be able to smell the foam. |
| No need to piece the foam together, this Extruded Polyethylene foam comes on a continuous roll which is resistant to moisture, and is waterproof, light weight, and durable. This can also be used for lining drawers, surface protection, protecting light and heavy products such as electronics, equipment and delicate items like glass. Also prevents scratches of polished surfaces. This foam is also shock absorbing. |
